Q:
I've been using wolf extra power springs in a product I manufacture.l They are "20% stiffer" How do these compare in stiffness to standard springs and what pricing could you offer on 1000 springs?
Asked by:
Ben Pauza
- 3/31/2023
A:
Our enhanced power hammer spring was designed to provide approximately 1 lb more energy than the mil-spec spring and that in conjunction with our enhanced or enhanced plus firing pin has worked successfully for the harder primers associated with 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 ammunition. We designed our own as we didn't like the feel of the trigger pull of the other manufacturers' spring and we designed them with full auto in mind. We will send you bulk pricing in an email.

Q:
What is the diameter of the spring wire. I am running a Wolff extra power spring in a PKM that has been converted to semiauto using a AR style trigger and a custom hammer. I can set off regular reloads but have to double strike Wolf steel case ammo. I need a heavier spring than the Wolff spring which uses a spring wire diameter of .050"
Asked by:
Kevin W Strout
- 1/10/2023
A:
Our hammer spring is not going to provide any more strength than the Wolf Hammer Spring. Can you send a picture of your hammer spring in your lower installed so we can take a look to see if we see anything out of ordinary to help you. You can use our Contact Us page to send us an email with a picture attached.

Q:
I'm running a CMMG 22LR conversion kit on my AR-15 and I am getting light primer strikes to no strikes at all. Will this product solve my issues? Also, I am using a W.O.T force reset trigger.

Q:
Would you recommend using this on 556 or 223 with steel cases and brass with the enhanced firing pin or could I just replace the spring
Asked by:
Shredder
- 8/3/2022
A:
Just try upgrading to the spring. The enhanced firing pin can cause pierced primers in the 5.56 caliber. You can also contact us through our CONTACT PAGE at the bottom with a picture of your lower receiver where we can see the spring to see if there may be a incorrect hammer spring installation, this is the #1 common cause of light strikes on 5.56 when using steel case ammunition.

Q:
Is this spring compatible with full auto? I read some other websites that said there enhanced hammer spring isn’t compatible with full auto.
Asked by:
Martin
- 6/1/2022
A:
Yes they are full auto compatible. We designed them to be full auto compatible as we run full auto and use this enhanced spring for our own full auto rifles.

Q:
Is this spring comparable to the Wolff enhanced hammer spring? And will this hammer spring work with a 7.62x39 setup.....that I am pretty sure will work no problem, but after doing some research I've seen guys put enhanced firing pins and hammer springs on there Binary Trigger setup so it runs smoother with little to no light strikes...i want to order this spring and the firing pin together and put these in my binary setup upon installation from the beginning just for reference i have a FosTech Echo Sport on its way to put in my 7.62x39 Radical rifle.......im tempeted to just buy a whole new BCG and spring but im not sure if its worth it to...thanks for your time and look forward to hearing from you..
Asked by:
Rocco
- 2/24/2022
A:
Yes the spring is comparable to Wolff Spring, but designed it for full auto use since that is what we run. We run our Enhanced Spring and Enhanced Firing Pin on all our 7.62x39 rifles. When it comes to binary triggers we have seen some customers continue to have issues. If you have issue with enhanced spring/firing pin with a binary we suggest contacting your trigger company and explain your caliber and setup to see if they have a heavier trigger spring.

Q:
Will this solve light primer strikes with certain ammunition on my 9mm carbine ar15? I only have an issue with my subsonic ammunition. The subs run fine through my other firearms just my carbine will not fire any of them. Runs fine with every other ammunition I’ve tried
Asked by:
Nate
- 8/5/2021
A:
It could but the first thing to check is to make sure your hammer spring is installed correctly. Most times people who are having light strikes their hammer spring is installed incorrectly. If you are unsure you may reach out to us under our CONTACT PAGE and send us a picture of your hammer spring installed.
